The data controller and project owner is Tarık İsmet Alkan. Yarenler is an independent platform, not a university service.

Data used

Names, titles, units and research fields from public AYBU AVESİS records help researchers discover each other. ORCID identifiers are authenticated during sign-in for profile claiming. Shared-field percentages are calculated from field labels. Publication, course and thesis titles may exist in the source pipeline but are not displayed in these profiles.

Cookies and providers

ORCID sign-in collects your authenticated ORCID identifier and name. A hash of a random session token is stored on the server for up to seven days; the browser receives an essential Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax session cookie. A ten-minute security cookie protects sign-in. Signing out deletes your session. No advertising or analytics cookies are used. Fonts and images are self-hosted. AVESİS links open an external site. Cloudflare provides network security and content delivery; Hetzner provides hosting in Germany. These network providers may process IP addresses and technical request information to deliver and protect the service.

Corrections and removal

Source information may be incomplete or outdated. Requests for information, correction or removal can be sent through the contact channel on the project owner’s AVESİS page below. Biographies, telephone numbers and email addresses are not imported into automatic profiles in the production database. Profile records are retained while the service purpose continues; removal requests are reviewed individually.
