How is proximity calculated?

This first version compares shared AVESİS, WoS and Scopus field labels. Identical labels are deduplicated. The percentage is the number of shared labels divided by the number of distinct labels across both researchers (Jaccard similarity). It is not a research quality score or a probability of collaboration.

Publications, topic hierarchies and embeddings generated on the server will support more comprehensive matching in a later stage. They are not used in this version.

Data was collected from public AYBU AVESİS profiles on 22 October 2026. Information may be incomplete or outdated; visit each researcher’s AVESİS page for current records. Five profiles redirected to contact pages and were excluded from the crawl.

Profiles show only name, title, unit and research fields. Biographies and contact details are not included in this view.
